This ODF (OpenDocument Format) calc sheet can help you figure out possible buyins with a given poker chip set and help calculate the needed set breakdown when told what game structures are to be played.
All editable fields are colored in light blue.
features:
- enter a given chip set and get the buyin distribution for two tournament structures and various player numbers (2-20 + custom) at the same time.
- get a color coded advice which possible buyins might work best
- enter up to 6 different tournament structures (player numbers/buyins/rebuys/colorups) and get the needed set breakdown
- interactive colorup support
- instant calculation without loadtimes as experienced in webbased calcs
- save your results for later use, reference and further experimentation
specifications:
- portable OpenDocument calc sheet (.ods) useable with i.e. the free office suite OpenOffice.org <- Follow Downloadlink
- macro-free
- GNU GPLv3 licensed
- locked to prevent accidentally overwriting essential formulas (pw: gnugpl)
warning: To prevent possibly getting fractions for buyins try to use chip denominations where each denomination is a multiple of their next lower denom, i.e. 1/5/25/100/500/1000.
If you need to use non-multiple denoms, i.e. 10 and 25, and you get a buyin structure with fractions of chips, look at higher player numbers to find a buyin without fractions to use in your game.
changelog:
v1.3
* variable continuous player number range in the buyin calc sheet
* additional usage hints
